Code of Conduct
1. Introduction
At LeaderMakers, we are committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity in all our leadership development activities. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and expectations that guide our behavior and decision-making. It applies to all coaches, employees, and partners associated with LeaderMakers. By adhering to this Code, we uphold our commitment to our company LeaderMakers, our clients, our team, and the broader community, ensuring that we not only deliver exceptional leadership development but do so with unwavering integrity.
2. Core Values
Our actions are rooted in these fundamental values:
Love: To love is to respect, trust, communicate, and care. We love what we do, how we do it, who we do it with, and what we do it for. Ours is a labor of love through which we seek to accompany, coach, teach, and learn every day of our lives, at work and beyond.
Learning & Unlearning: We are passionate and hungry for new knowledge and wisdom, we seek adventure in discovering new things and new ways to do things, and we look to let go of redundant knowledge, information, and obsolete ways of doing things. We learn to disrupt our previous selves.
Hope: Napoleon used to say that Leaders are dealers of hope. We work hard to develop leaders, coaches, and ourselves to see more and see more before others, it is in a vision of greatness and possibilities where we see the potential that may be invisible to others. The weak signals we see and our hope and open-mindedness open a world of possibilities and wonderful change.
Bravery: We welcome challenge and change, we face uncertainty, difficulty, and threat because we know it will all make us stronger. We stay true to our beliefs, values, and vision, and speak up for what is right even in the face of opposition. We face the future together.
Social Intelligence: We develop our skills and knowledge to understand ourselves as well as others and how they interact. From profiling to deceit detection, from anthropology to religion, and from philosophy to neuroscience, part of our learning experience is dedicated to developing social intelligence and leveraging it to heal leadership one interaction at a time whether it is one person or with one million people.
3. Professional Responsibility
Competence: We maintain the highest level of professional competence in all our leadership development modalities (coaching, facilitation, etc.) through continuous development and education. We recognize the boundaries of our expertise and only accept assignments that align with our qualifications. LeaderMakers’ practitioners commit to a minimum of equivalent hours of learning to the hours they spend delivering leadership development services, ensuring continuous growth and development. All practitioners within LeaderMakers actively participate in internal coaching/facilitation/peer support to provide mutual support and enhance their effectiveness.
Any external education or training that a team member wishes to pursue must be discussed and agreed upon with a LeaderMakers’ representative. Given the nature of our work with clients’ minds, it is imperative that our own knowledge and experience is of the highest quality and that we avoid any training that could be detrimental to the coach’s or client’s well-being.
Integrity: We conduct ourselves with honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior in all interactions. We avoid conflicts of interest and act in the best interests of our clients and LeaderMakers.
Client Focus: We prioritize the needs and goals of our clients, providing unbiased support and guidance. We respect client autonomy and empower them to make their own decisions. We commit to working with clients where we perceive a potential for leadership growth and positive transformation.
